Zakiya McKenzie

Zakiya McKenzie is completing a Master’s of Research in Environment, Energy and Resilience at the University of Bristol and looking at the discovery of unprecedented crude oil off the coast of Guyana. She is also the lead researcher at Up Our Street, a neighbourhood management group working in the Easton and Lawrence Hill wards of Bristol. As a Green and Black Ambassador she investigates the involvement of non-white Bristolians in the city’s active environmental sustainability sector.
