Sue Turner is the chief executive of the Quartet Community Foundation – one of the oldest and largest community foundations in the UK. The Community Foundation is the unique conduit for people who want to donate to local good causes, giving c£3 million of vital support each year to small local groups. Its mission is to inspire local philanthropy to meet the needs of people here now and for ever. Turner was previously a director at The Bristol Port Company; for a charity which worked with businesses to encourage young people to study Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects; and, prior to that, director of the South West CBI.
