Shih-chuan Lee is deputy mayor of New Taipei City. He supervises city departments of technology, infrastructure, civil engineering, transportation, urban and rural development and land policy as well as intergovernmental affairs. His long career of public service includes other important positions at both national and local governments. He was a lead-architect in the planning of Taiwan’s first and largest mass rapid transit system and the largest comprehensive underground sewage system. With vast understanding of urban governance, he now works with cross-functional teams to apply urban technology solutions that promote a smart city and happy citizens.
