Paul Vallance

Paul Vallance is a research associate in the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies, Newcastle University. He is currently working on the RCUK/Innovate UK Urban Living Partnership pilot project for Newcastle and Gateshead (Newcastle City Futures). An economic and urban geographer by background, he has extensive experience of researching university and city relations, collaborative modes of innovation and engagement, and the creative and digital industries. He is co-author of the 2013 book The University and the City and co-editor of the 2016 collection The Civic University: the Policy and Leadership Challengers.
