Image for Openstorytellers

Openstorytellers is a charity that works to enrich and empower the lives of people who are marginalised because of learning and communication difficulties. They do this through varied work around the telling and sharing of stories, including personal narrative as well as classic stories, using a collaborative approach based on 15 years of research and innovative practice. Their aims are to reclaim the history of disability in society; to challenge stereotypes and to develop understanding of the links between past and present issues confronting people with disabilities.
