Narmada Thiranagama works for UNISON’s policy and public affairs unit covering the union’s policies on areas including employment rights and the labour market, further and higher education, migrant workers and immigration. Prior to joining UNISON, she was the TUC’s national policy officer for women. She came to the UK as a child refugee at the age of 11.
