Mike Harvey is director of prototyping at Amalgam. He joined Amalgam in 1991 having spent the previous 13 years building exhibition standard pieces for the defence, maritime and aerospace industries, accruing an extensive knowledge of plastics and moulding materials. Shortly after arriving at Amalgam, he produced components for James Dyson’s first prototype cylinder cleaner. He has continued to manage the intense demand and growth of Amalgam’s rapid prototyping facility, now mentoring their team of 3D CAD designers and product model makers.
