Image for Martin Parker

Martin Parker

Martin Parker is a professor of Organisation Studies at the University of Bristol. His research and writing attempts to widen the scope of what is usually part of business and management studies, whether in terms of particular sorts of organisations (the circus, the worker co-op, Apollo space programme etc), or ways of representing organising (in art, cartoons, films etc). He was appointed director of the Institute for Civic Futures, a university research unit which is intended to play out the VCs claim that the University of Bristol can become a new kind of civic university.
