Kate Stewart

Kate Stewart is a creative business practitioner with a wealth of experience in the design, regeneration and learning sectors. As chief executive officer of the social enterprise We Make Places, she is currently leading the creative, community and learning programmes on The Flyover Liverpool, one of the first in a series of ‘Provocations for the City’. She joined the Cultural Producers International programme after curating The Maverick City Symposium for the second year, where she brought together artists and other change-makers from Rio, Chicago, Italy, Latvia, The Netherlands and the UK to discuss themes of home, co-living, art in public spaces and collective making. She has won various accolades including being named as one of the Leaders of Liverpool and as Independent Business Champion of the Year at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards.
