James Berry is chief executive officer of Bristol Credit Union (BCU), a mutual financial services provider dedicated to supporting the people of Bristol and Bath. He has worked for BCU from its formation through the merger of four small credit unions with a combined 1,200 members and less than £500k assets, to the current organisation with over 10,000 members and assets of over £7m. While keeping local people at the heart of everything it does, BCU is currently working on its next phase of expansion, to more than double its membership and loan book and to deliver even greater benefit for local communities across the area.
