Eve Szczelkun

Eve Szczelkun is one of Bristol’s two Youth Mayors. She became involved with the Bristol City Youth Council because she saw it as an opportunity to get the voice of young people heard. She has found it to be a useful introduction to the world of politics and chance to learn how Bristol City Council implements change in the city. Some of the topics she feels passionately about include mental health, the environment, votes at 16 and combating all forms of discrimination. In the future she would like all students to be offered meditation, yoga sessions or sport to reduce stress during exam periods.
