Cash Carraway

Cash Carraway is a single mum who lives in a council flat and grew up in Penge, South East London. Her sell-out one-woman spoken word show Refuge Woman, about government cuts to domestic violence services, was nominated for multiple awards including ‘Best Innovation’ at the 2018 British Journalism Awards and toured in collaboration with The Bureau of Investigative Journalism and Battersea Arts Centre. Orange Prize winning author Lionel Shriver described Cash’s writing as “The definition of edgy, a truly distinctive voice.” Skint Estate is her first book.
