World-famous economist Yanis Varoufakis visits Bristol for an exclusive pre-publication event this October to introduce his latest book, Talking To My Daughter About the Economy. Written as a personal letter to his 11-year-old daughter, Xenia, Varoufakis sets out to explain what economics is and why it has the power to shape our lives.
Come and enjoy an evening with the former economics lecturer and ex-Greek finance minister himself as he answers his daughter’s deceptively simple questions, helping to make sense of a troubling world while inspiring us to make it a better one. He discusses some of the most important questions that face humanity today, making complex issues accessible to all.
Pre-publication copies of Talking To My Daughter About the Economy are included with every ticket, meaning you’ll be the first to get your hands on a copy. There will also be the chance to ask your own burning questions about the economy during the audience Q&A.
