How different would cities be if women built them? How do we extend the rights to the city to all? Ranging over issues of architecture, planning, safety, protest, politics and place-making, leading writers, architects, campaigners and researchers debate the challenges facing women living in cities and explore how cities could be made better for all in the future. Finn Mackay (academic at UWE and responsible for reviving the London Reclaim the Night March) joins writer and playwright Sabrina Mahfouz and academic and architect Catalina Turcu from UCL. Writer and campaigner Sian Norris chairs.
Salena Godden, one of our Festival of the Future City poets, reads a new poem as part of the event.
Liane Hartley is no longer able to attend this session.
